Your account number for our office is listed in two places. First location is at the top right of your statement in the block above your name. It will be just below the credit card symbols for Visa and Mastercard.

I have not received any services from Catawba Valley Medical Center, why have I received an invoice from Catawba Radiology? |
| A |
Catawba Radiological Associates Inc. partners with area hospitals, imaging centers, family practices, as well as other medical groups to provide diagnostic interpretation of radiological studies. The bill
or statement that you have received is for the professional services provided at those facilities. The facility where your service was provided does not bill you for CRA services. This is why you received our bill. |

My doctor read my X-Rays. Why am I being billed by your office? |
| A |
Catawba Radiological Associates Inc. partners with area hospitals, imaging centers, family practices,
as well as other medical groups to provide diagnostic interpretation of radiological studies. CRA offers a courier service to pickup and return radiological studies from participating practices. If your doctor sent your study to us for interpretation, then we will bill you for those diagnostic services. The facility where your service was provided does not bill you for CRA services. This is why you received our bill. |
| Q |
Did you file a claim to my insurance(s) for my radiological service? |
| A |
If your insurance information was sent to us from the medical facility where the study was performed, we have filed a claim to the insurance company that was provided. If you do not think that a claim was filed or a claim was filed incorrectly, please contact our billing office immediately with the correct insurance information so that we can correct our records and re-file your claim in a timely manner. |
| Q |
Why does my statement show that no payments have been credited to my account from my insurance carrier? |
| A |
If your statement shows that an insurance claim was filed and no payments have been received, please contact your insurance company immediately to determine why. If the claim has been filed with incorrect information or your statement shows incorrect information, please contact our billing office immediately with the correct information so that we can re-file your claim in a timely manner. |
| Q |
I am on a Budget Plan. Why does my current statement only show part of my last budget payment amount? |
| A |
It is common that a patient will have several charges on their bill. If part of your last budget payment was applied toward a single charge that paid down that single charge to a zero balance, that single charge payment and balance will not show on you statement. Only charges with a remaining balance will be listed on your current statement. |
| Q |
I paid my deductible “out of pocket” to the facility where my services were performed on the day of the service. Why is my insurance company applying your charge to my deductible as well? |
| A |
Questions regarding what is or is not applied towards you deductible need to be directed to your insurance carrier. Please contact your insurance carrier or employee insurance coordinator at your place of employment. |
| Q |
What is an insurance deductible? |
| A |
Your insurance deductible is the amount of money you must pay out of pocket before your full insurance benefits become effective. Deductibles may vary depending upon your insurance policy. Contact your insurance carrier or insurance benefit coordinator if you have questions about your deductible. |
