Dr. Charles Scheil has served as Chief of Staff for Catawba Valley Medical Center, is a Catawba Radiology Executive Committee member and Board of Directors Emeritus member. He brings his breadth of knowledge and clinical experience to the musculoskeletal, mammography and interventional imaging teams at Catawba Radiology.

Dr. Scheil, pronounced “Shile” (rhyming with “smile”) is locally bred, growing up in Lenoir, and was valedictorian of the first graduating class at West Caldwell High School. He enjoys traveling with his wonderful family and friends, hiking, fishing and boating on Lake Hickory. As an active community advocate, he support First United Methodist Church Hickory and has a passion for handbells as a member of their Chancel Ringers. He also passionately supports the Hickory Community Theatre as a Board of Emeritus member.
