Catawba Radiology is independent and privately-held. We’re a family-oriented company — we aren’t owned by a corporation, meaning you don’t have to navigate large corporate structure and can focus on doing what you do best. At Catawba Radiology, there’s no third party interference between you and your patients.
We’re a part of Strategic Radiology — a coalition of privately-owned, independent, local radiology practices across the country. Strategic Radiology and Catawba Radiology are committed to local medicine and to providing the highest quality standards in radiology, without the need for corporate meddling or third-party investors.
Since 1950, Catawba Radiology has been recognized as the expert provider of diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology services in the Unifour. Many of our staff are active or in leadership positions in radiological associations at the local, state, and national level, including past and present Chief of Staffs of our local hospitals and the former, now retired CEO of the American College of Radiology.
Catawba Radiology supports four hospitals and two imaging centers across the Hickory metro area, including the Catawba Valley Health System, Frye Regional Medical Center and Rutherford Regional. We’re deeply involved in our local community, supporting charitable organizations like GHCCM and the Catawba Medical Foundation.
